Shanlyn Update:

Shanlyn Today Inbox

Linda Parker
show details 10:43 AM (50 minutes ago)

Shanlyn came home from the hospital. She is weak and tired, but tried to get up this morning to go to work. When she dressed she was out of breath again. She called in, and they do not think the clot has dissolved. She is taking 2 blood thinners. She crawled back in the bed and is now asleep. She is supposed to have her third infusion tomorrow.Lloyd and I are just trying to run the household and keep things going. Lloyd takes Riley to and from nursery school. Riley throws everything down and runs toward him in the afternoon. I give him a bath and read to him at night. He loves books which thrills me. Our request is that you do not forget that prayers are needed. I hope you have not tired of this request. It is a difficult time.

Mid-Week Update:

Shanlyn is back home from hospital and may receive her scheduled chemo Friday.

Jimmy Hight will be at Duke on 2/15 (maybe several days) in determining his suitability as a transplant candidate.

Kelly Grubb will be at Duke for tests today.

Communion[/b] will be part of worship ofn Sunday, February 7, 2010 so there will also be a Benevolence Ofering taken.

Re-schedule Church Conference Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 4:00pm.

Youth/Young @ Heat Valentine Banquet will be Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 6:00pm.

Ash Wednesday services will be February 17, 2010.

Update on Shanlyn:

Shan is in the hospital. They think she may have a blood clot. They haven't decided yet. She is due to have her next chemo treatment on Wednesday. I do not think this is possible because of the

many adverse things going on with her. I have asked you to pray hard and continue that request. Jimmy is better, but still has a cough. I have just been told that Riley needs to see the doctor tomorrow. It is a very difficult time. Please pray for us.
