Fourth Update

Jordan rested well last night and continues to improve in both looks and feelings. When I arrived this am he was at the hospital chapel playing the organ. Adell will spend a few hours with him this afternoon so that Laurie can work some and Betsy can have some free time (if keeping Braden qualifies as free time). He looks better than the photo that Laurie took and posted this am.

I saw Norman Little and the daughters while at the hospital. Margaret was scheduled to come home today, but she had too much difficulty standing, so they are running more tests. Norman understands that Oscoar Moore is in the hospital from a heart attack.

Third Update

Jordan had a reasonably good day yesterday. I haven't yet heard how last night went. He walked a little; check his Facebook; ate his supper; and was more talkative with some of his sense of humor back. Dr. Workman was encouraged and thinks he will continue to slowly improve.

Thanks for all intercessions.

Second Update

Adell has been by to see Jordan this am. Laurie and Betsy spent the night with him. His eye "looks" a lot better this morning. He only had to have one dose of pain medication over-night. Jeff has taken today off and is with Jordan and Laurie. It will take several days for all tests (specific bacteria; and, specific strain of that) to be in.

Dr. Workman, the surgeon, is planning on keeping him at least until those test results are known.

Thanks for all intercessions.

[b]First Update{/b]

Jordan had a CT scan yesterday that showed abscess behind right eye. He was sent directly to Emergency at hospital and had surgery performed last night. So a lot of pressure was released and material removed. He was feeling better upon awakening. Reportedly, the infection was contained (had not invaded other nearby organs) and anti-biotics now should be more helpful. Steve Ayers' presence was comforting to the family and especially to Jordan upon awakening.

Original Post:

Monday class meal will be at Mayflower at 5:30pm. (Next is Parker's; China 10; Chico's; and Cracker Barrel)

Pre-worship Fourth of July music celebration will begin at 10:45am next Sunday. The class will not have regular Sunday School during July, but will participate in the TMBC churchwide fellowship periods at 9:45am. Immediately before, at 9:25am, class members will gather in the Music Suite to be updated on class member happenings.

The new Sunday School Leadeership Team will be requesting two persons from each class to meet with them soon. This will be followed by a meeting with class teachers and officers. We should receive a letter this week.

Progressive (led by Leanora Lillie and Betty Hanks) will join with the Fellowship Class on July 18th to provide refreshments for church-wide Fellowship time.

Progressive (led by Leanora Lillie and Ruby Long) will coordinate meal for VBS workers on Tuesday July 20, 2010.

Jordan Prescott is home from hospital on antibiotic that will hopefully clear up sinus infection, the cause of his headaches and eye swelling.

Hugh Wease is going on 2 week excursion of Europe in July.

The formerly undefeated TMBC softball team will play Unity FWB at 7:00pm on Tuesday.
