Harold (Dew) came through the Procedure fine. They were not able to put in the stint. They did discover a blockage of 95%. This will require open heart surgery because of the placement of the blockage. The Surgery will need to take place very soon. There no decisions of when at this time. Daddy should go home tonight.

Second Update:

Okay, so you haven't been exercising over the summer and haven't done anything to get ready for tomorrow night. Come anyway. Everybody can do the steps in slow motion as Jane leads. If an actual routine is too strenuous, just take a break. We will be meeting weekly, so you have plenty of time to ease into it.

And, since you can go slow, so can everybody you invite. What? You haven't invited anyone yet? Then quit reading this and do it.

First Update:

Hello, everyone ~

It is with a sad heart that I ask for your prayers for Mom tonight. Today was a terrible day. Mom had severe back spasms beginning this morning, and continuing into excruciating spasms throughout the day and evening. The dr. ordered x-rays tonight, and we will hopefully have some results tomorrow early. We are very concerned that there might be a fracture, or worse, more than one, as her condition was even worse that when she had the individual fractures back ...

Report on Jane Boyd

Hello, faithful family and friends!

I have a good report for today on Mom! Her dr.'s appt. yesterday with the plastic surgeon went very well. He removed the two drains, and the sutures, and was very pleased with how the whole site is healing. Her next appt. with him is in 3 wks.

So, we're thinking that later this week she may be released from rehab! We have to find a nurse to come in and administer her IV antibiotic daily (right now it's now to once/day,...

Subject: update on Mom, 8/19

Hello again!

Today was the appt. with the plastic surgeon, and he is very happy with how Mom is healing! The drains have to remain in for a while longer, a real nuisance, but not painful. She did really well traveling to his office and back, although it was quite a trek to get to his office. We went by her apartment afterwards, where she sat in her comfortable chair while I gathered a few more things for her room at the rehab center. Altogether we w...

First Update:]/b]

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

I am so excited and happy to report to you that Mom had a wonderful day today! (might not be her word, but it is for me!) Her pain is SO much better than last night, and I told my family tonight that she was mentally "brighter" today than
I've seen her in maybe a year and a half.... Steve said having that infection out of her body could be a big part of it. Maybe, too, the relief of having what we've dreaded at least being on the way out.... Our prayers were a...
